2024 Portuguese general Elections - Partido Socialista Português

After nine years of socialist governments under António Costa's leadership, Portugal was once again heading into elections. This time, it was prompted by the resignation of the Prime Minister due to suspicions of corruption involving one of his close collaborators.

Most party leaders and subsequent candidates for Prime Minister had changed since 2022. Despite this refresh in Portuguese politics, there was a prevailing sense of discontent and skepticism towards institutions across the country.

My main tasks during this campaign were to oversee a large amount of communication content and mobilize the militants, by contributing to the content strategy (creation, curation, and distribution), managing a phone banking team of 20 that reached over 50,000 people, and overseeing Email and WhatsApp communications. Additionally, I was in charge of the campaign website, collaborated on TV ad scripts, and coordinated a volunteer structure of 4,000 participants.

    - Linked Mailchimp, Squarespace, and Qomon together

  • - In charge of email communications (Mailchimp) - 65.000 contacts - 28% open rate

    - In charge of WhatsApp communications - 9.000 contacts - 55% open rate

  • - In charge of a team of 20 people

    - Created the script to mobilize and collect feedback from militants

    - Contacted close to 50.000 militants (Qomon)

  • - Used previously created structure and gained 20% more volunteers (4.000 total)

    - Constant communication (WhatsApp & email) and adjudication of tasks (e.g. share post, attend event, interact on social media)
