The March 2024 general election saw a very marginal victory for the moderate right-wing party, ending nine years of Socialist governance and creating a dynamic context for the European elections. Internationally, the 2024 European elections were pivotal, with expectations of far-right gains potentially shifting the balance in the European Parliament. In Portugal, this was underscored by the debut of Chega in the European elections, a far-right party that quickly rose to prominence, securing 18% of the vote in the March general election and placing third.

My main task was to mobilize as many militants as possible, for an election that typically sees over 75% abstention. I did this by creating a sense of urgency, maintaining constant communication (WhatsApp, Email, Website, Phone banking), and distributing our best digital content for all of our supporters to see and share. I also contributed to the content strategy team, developing both official and unofficial digital content.
